6x + 2x + x = 126,000
1. 2. 3.

9x = 126,000
x = 14000
6 (14000) = 84000
2 (14000) = 28000
1 (14000) = 14000
-----------
126000

say that A is the first place, B, 2 and 3 C.

a = 3b
b = 2c
a + b + c = 126,000

You can use the substitution to only 1 variable. I think the best approach is to simplify the "C".

A + B + C = 126,000
Replace the "A" to "3B"
3 b + b + c = 126,000
: simplify
4b + c = 126,000
Then substitute b 2c:
4 (2C) + c = 126,000
Propagation:
8c + c = 126,000
: simplify
9C = 126,000
then both sides share with 9
c = 14,000

So now you know what the 3rd Person, you can multiply by 2x3, also known as 6 and finished with $ 84,000

So, like 3 x 2 Pleasure is 2x, and the winner of a 3 * 2x = 6x, so you have 6x + 2x + x = 9x = 126,000 at 126.000, then x = 14,000 and if pleasure 3 is $ 14,000, 2nd Pleasure is $ 28,000 and the winner receives $ 84,000.
